I am Francisco Ortega Lafuente, creator of Muan Fotografía, and I specialize in professional portrait photography guided by a sensibility shaped by music and intuition. After more than thirty years immersed in the music scene, I found in the camera a new language to capture human intensity: my portraits aim to translate that unique vibration residing in each person into images that are useful for professional life — corporate photography, business portraits, LinkedIn photos or CV images — while preserving their emotional charge. My approach centers on presence. For me, portrait photography is not cold technique or forced poses: it is an encounter in a shared space of silence where the subject can appear without masks. I work from listening and calm; before I press the shutter I create an atmosphere of trust that allows authenticity to emerge. This way of working is especially valuable when the image must convey professionalism and humanity at the same time. What sets me apart is the blend of artistic sensitivity and stage experience: the camera becomes a witness, not a judge. My gaze — inspired by the archetype of Muan, the Maya owl — seeks what others don't look at and reveals nuances of character and presence that connect with professional audiences. Light, composition and silence combine to produce portraits that function both in corporate settings and in personal profiles with intent. I work mainly from Burlata and the surrounding area, adapting the space and atmosphere to the needs of each professional portrait session. I don't impose a rigid style: I accompany the person photographed to find the image that best communicates their personality and role. Although portraiture is my main focus, my experience in street photography and documenting performances feeds an agile, attentive eye for detail that enriches every session.
