I’m Julio Sicilia, a photographer based in San Miguel de Abona specializing in professional portrait photography. After a decade working as a creative in advertising agencies in Madrid, I returned to the Canary Islands to devote myself fully to photography. That journey left me with a healthy obsession for light, composition and the stories people carry—elements I bring to every session so the portraits become more than mere pictures, they become pages from the subject’s personal story. My approach as a portrait specialist begins with listening and guidance. Before the session we discuss the goal: a photo for LinkedIn, a casting portrait, a personal cover image or a creative project. From there I propose locations across Tenerife, lighting options and wardrobe guidelines that fit what you want to convey. I work outdoors—taking advantage of the island’s landscapes and natural light—as well as in studio or interior settings, always seeking a comfortable, close atmosphere that allows authentic expressions to emerge. I consciously use tools such as light, color, framing and lens choice to shape the character of the portrait. Not every portrait requires the same visual language: corporate images demand neutrality and trust; creative portraits require risk and personality. My role is to advise you so the photograph communicates exactly what you need, accompanying you with patience and dialogue throughout the process.
