I’m Miriam González, a portrait photographer based in La Laguna (Tenerife). Since 2022 I have focused on portrait and family photography, developing a simple but intentional style: I aim for each image to convey personality and the emotion of the moment. My background in Psychology and my self-taught approach help me create sessions where natural moments emerge easily. I specialize in professional and personal portrait photography. I work with people who need a polished image for their professional presence — for example, a photo for LinkedIn or a CV — as well as with those who want individual, couple, or family portraits that feel authentic and emotive. My goal is for the photo not to look posed: I want the eyes, expressions, and small gestures to speak for themselves. As I say in my portfolio, “The eyes never lie”: the eyes are the starting point for telling stories. My working style is warm and relaxed. Before the session we talk about what you’re looking for — style, intended use of the image, and the setting — and I advise you on wardrobe, poses, and locations in La Laguna or nearby. During the shoot I offer simple directions and gentle conversation so you feel comfortable; often the best photos appear when people stop posing and allow themselves to be themselves. Beyond portraits, I’ve worked in the sports arena, which taught me how to capture emotion and movement; that sensibility also informs my portrait work: I’m quick, attentive, and always seeking human connection.
